On Sunday we went up to the orphanage again to go to church.
When we arrived, the church was full of kids and local villagers singing Swahili songs. The kids love taking turns leading.
Then Brian took a turn and led us in a few English songs. One of the songs he did, "Nothing But the Blood of Jesus", has been translated into Swahili and the people knew it and sang along.
Then Jon, (the pastor from Alan and Shannon's church) shared from the Word.
After church was over, we colored with the kids and just hung out with them. We brought the stuff for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and gave them each one. They loved them. Although, it sent them running for water!
Later while the guys did more work on the kitchen and office, we played outside with the kids. At one point, they had started racing each other. George joined in on the action, as did Alan!
Bubbles are always a hit so we did that for a while. The kids had a hard time blowing them, but we let them try. This little boy actually did it and was so happy when he saw it fly into the air.
Before we left, we played a water relay game. It was a lot of fun, although a bit chaotic!
Around 3:00, it was time to go. It was sad saying good bye to the kids, but I look forward to seeing them again.
