April Fools!

When I woke up today, I forgot that it was April Fools Day. I am a terrible liar so I haven't done a lot April Fools jokes in my life. However, Margaret was eager to get someone. I came out of my room this morning and saw her standing there. She told me she wanted to get Dennis. She was planning on telling him I needed him really badly. I suggested we tell him I was sick. While we were discussing what to tell him (we didn't want to scare him too much), I saw Dennis coming our way so I quickly ran back into my room. I waited there for him to come. I was sprawled out on my bed, covered with a sheet. Finally I heard footsteps and then a knock on my door. I didn't answer. Dennis came in and said "Stacie?" I still didn't answer. Then when he was standing over me I threw off the sheet and said "April Fools!" Margaret was standing outside and started laughing really hard. Dennis stood there in shock for a bit until he realized what happened. Then, he started laughing too. I think Margaret told him I wasn't breathing or I was very sick.

Then, Dennis decided to continue the trick. He went and got our other doctor, John-Paul and told him I couldn't breathe. John-Paul knows I have asthma and thought maybe paint fumes from my new room had caused the problems. He too rushed over to help. Dennis didn't tell me what he did so I was really confused when they both came hurrying to my room. Then Dennis started to laugh and said "April Fools" to John-Paul. I wish I had known he was going to do that so I could have passed out on my bed or something.

Anyway, it was a fun day. At least I know they care if I am dying. However...I do recall a story about a boy who cried wolf....
