Tuesday and Wednesday were spent hanging out with George’s
families. On Tuesday we visited his
biological brother, Fred and his family. I like to see George and Fred
together. They look so much alike.
My Mom and Al also got to meet George’s
biological grandma. She is so
little! We call her Tiny Granny.
On Wednesday, we went to Kibos, which is where his
(adoptive) parents live. All the kids
were home from (boarding) school which always makes the place quite
lively. It was cool to show my Mom and
Al where we got married. Our ceremony and reception took place in his parent’s
front yard. Kibos has beautiful vegetation
so we went for a walk to check it out.
George’s dad wasn’t there, but many other family members were.
I’m glad my mom and Al got to meet them
all. We love our family there. Eli had
fun with the boys. There are seven boys
ages 8 to 17 and they helped take care of Eli.
I kept asking if they wanted me to take him, but they said no and had
fun with him. I felt like I had the day
off!
We spent all day there, just hanging out and had a nice low
key day. When we are in Tanzania we
miss days like that.
