On Friday, it was time to go. Our time there was too short. It was almost worse to get a taste of home
only to have to leave so quickly. It was
worth it though. I miss being around our
friends and family. But, it was nice for
my Mom and Al to be there. I think they
liked Kenya, except for the driving!
It’s kind of a free for all and really freaked them out.
Here they are riding in a tuk tuk. Eli loves them and immediately relaxed and
snuggled.
Friday morning we said good bye to our gracious host Suzy,
and her husband, Andrew, and left on the bus around 9:00 and got to Nairobi
around 5:00. Eli was a champ and slept
over two hours right off the bat. Then
he slept another two hours as we neared Nairobi. That evening, we met up with George’s dad who
was in Nairobi for work. We were only
able to see him for about half an hour, but we were happy to see him.
Saturday morning we left at 8:00 and got to Moshi around
4:00. Again, Eli took two long
naps. Despite being away from home and
off his routine, Eli did outstanding. He
is very portable and generally easy going.
After a long week, we were happy to be back in Moshi.
