Relaxing Birthday

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! After our work at immigration was done, George took me to my favorite restaurant in Nairobi, Java House, for a birthday celebration. Even though it was 9:30am, I indulged in a milkshake. Don't judge me. :) They make the best milkshakes in the world. Yes really. Better than in the US. It was delicious.

Since we had eaten breakfast earlier and I was full after the milkshake, George told me to order whatever I wanted for carry out. So, I got a bagel and cream cheese and a piece of cheesecake. I know, it's random, but they are two things I am not able to get elsewhere and sounded good. They, too, were delicious.

Although we finished early and could have found a way back to Kisumu that day, we decided to spend one more night in Nairobi. We have been going and going for a long time now and an afternoon and evening with nothing to do sounded wonderful. So we headed back to the hotel and booked another night. The rest of the day was spent napping, reading, resting, eating my Java treats and watching shows on our computer. I don't know when the last time we had a day like that was. It was a great way to spend my birthday.
