Today I needed to get out of the house. I haven't left since George's dad's birthday party on Tuesday night and I was feeling restless. I was nervous about going out since Eli and I are still working on getting the hang of feeding. Feeding him at home is stressful and the thought of doing it in public now is even more so. So, we decided to attempt the outing during his nap. He usually takes a long one from 12:00-3:00.
We got him fed, got ourselves ready and headed out. What exciting thing did we decide to do on this outing? Grocery shopping! I know it's silly, but I had a good time. We walked around the baby section and saw a neat swing that would be good for him, but decided not to get it since there is no way to get it to Korogwe on the bus. It was fun just to look at the stuff. Then we picked up some random items we needed.
After, we stopped to get an ice cream cone. Well, I did anyway!
Eli was amazing. George held him the whole time and he just peacefully slept. Its amazing how babies can sleep through any noise. Even loud tuk tuks and bumpy roads.
I am looking forward to the next outing!
