Sorry if it seems I have been out of touch. I like to be up on my blogging and emails and now am so behind. It seems like there isn't a minute to do anything. Even finding time to eat and brush my teeth is difficult!
Here is a brief recap:
We are doing well. Just trying to figure out this baby thing. Feeding and sleeping are the biggest challenges, but we are working on it. George has been so great and is very involved. He has the magic touch, especially at night and has been able to get Eli to sleep which allows me to sleep for a while too. Plus he does all the running around and gets everything we need (diapers, food, etc.)
Over the last few days, family members have come to visit and meet Eli. So far, they say he looks like George. Right now Eli is light, but should darken up some.
Today we took Eli back to the hospital for vaccinations. He did wonderful. Just one little cry when poked and then that was it. In the evening, we went over to George's sister's house to celebrate their dad's birthday. It was nice to see everyone and join the celebration.
I am feeling pretty good. I am up, moving around and able to walk with no problems. I continue to be amazed with the whole birth process and am so thankful for the Lord's provisions. I never imagined I would feel this well just two days after delivering.
I will try to blog as much as possible, but it may be less than normal. If you have emailed me and not received a reply yet, hang in there! It's coming. I hate to be so slow, but I will catch up soon hopefully. Until then, thanks for all the love and congrats. We feel so loved!
(At times he has this alien/old man look to him, but we still think he's pretty cute!)

ReplyDeleteTerry
He is super cute! And I'm so glad you are feeling so well...you totally deserve it since you have suffered with so many bouts of malaria and etc!
ReplyDeleteKeep posting when you can and we will pray during the silence...
Love Amy
He's adorable. You make him sound like a roast. He will "darken up." Too funny. Whatever color he ends up, he will be beautiful because you and George and God made him. I can't wait to hug him some day. Love you, Karen
ReplyDeleteWOW! Such blessings! SO glad the delivery went well Stacie and you are UP and about-- ONLY Our God. I think Eli looks like daddy with the features but has mommy's coloring. Such blessings!
