Remembering Sebit

Today I heard some very sad news from Tonj. You may remember me talking about Elizabeth. She was one of women who worked on the compound. Elizabeth invited us to her house to pray for her - she wanted to have another baby. She ended up getting pregnant soon after and now has Joshua, in addition to Emmanuel (3) and Sebit (7). This week, there was a tragic accident and Sebit died. He was tending to the family's goats and fell off the bridge in Tonj, hit his head on a rock and died instantly.

Sebit was a quiet, kind little boy who helped take care of his younger brothers. Usually he showed up early to church without his parents, with Emmanuel in tow. He was a pleasure to have in Sunday School. He had a very sweet smile and when he smiled, you could see the joy in his eyes.



Please pray for Elizabeth and her husband as they mend their broken hearts. They already lost another son, Gabriel, and losing Sebit is devasting. Pray also for Emmanuel who I'm sure is missing his brother and playmate.
