Pray for Mayual

Tonight a boy was brought in to the clinic with severe burns. He was carrying wood and fell into a fire. 70% of his body was burned. His name is Mayual and he is only six. The injury happened five days ago so he was in bad shape. It was heartbreaking to see skin hanging off of him. Sheena and Dennis (doctor) had to scrub his burned body to remove the dirt and lotion his family put on him. As you can imagine it was brutally painful. I held his hands and arms while they scrubbed him. I just kept telling him "you are doing so well" and "I'm sorry" I was amazed at his strength and courage. Most children and adults would be screaming the entire time. For the most part he just endured it. Sometimes he would cry and it crushed me. It took about an hour to clean him and tend to his wounds. He is resting now in the clinic. Although we aren't equipped to take overnight guests, he will be staying for five days or so. We were able to pray with him and his family and we have entrusted him into God's hands. Please pray that his little body will heal and that he will be free from infection.
