In May, when George’s mom came to visit, she saw Eli doing this and asked “do you know what this means?” I said “no” and she told me that when a child does this, it means another baby is on the way. They have all kinds of funny sayings like that. For example, when a child is sweeping, they say it means a visitor is coming soon. So, at the time, I just laughed. It was neat to be able to go to Kisumu a couple weeks ago and tell her that she was right!
Yep, baby #2 is on the way. I am 13 ½ weeks along and am due February 21st. We were able to do an ultrasound in Kenya where we heard the baby’s heartbeat and confirmed everything looks ok. We are thrilled and are looking forward to meeting him or her.
The only bummer about the timing is that it means we have to post pone our furlough. We had hoped to come at the end of the year, but that would put me in the third trimester and we can’t afford to deliver in the US. So, we are planning on visiting the US in the fall of 2015, Lord willing, this time with two kids instead of one.
We would appreciate your prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy (so far so good!), delivery and baby.
Yayyyyyyyy!!!!! Congratulations to the Orwa family!
