Monday - Herbert and Cake #2

Late Monday morning, George and I went back to Kibos, where Herbert stayed, to spend time with him and cut the cake. Despite getting tousled in the bus, we could see Emily made a beautiful cake for us. To get back in the spirit, George put on his wedding coat and I put on my veil. Then we cut the cake and passed it out to the family at the house. It, too, was delicious.

Then we headed back to town to get ready for Herbert's departure that evening. Herbert gave us updates on the kids in Korogwe and caught us up on other news from there. We had a really nice time with him and were sad to see him leave so soon. We were so thankful he came all this way to help celebrate our wedding.
