Good-Bye Summer

Last night we had a prayer meeting/bonfire. We usually have it on Wednesday nights, but we had a lot of rain so we postponed it. We had a really nice time. It felt like the end of summer camp - Singing and praying around a bonfire eating smores. (Shout out to Dennis for the best roasted marshmallow I have ever had!) A plane came earlier in the day bringing Eric and Chris who will be here for ten days building bore holes (wells) along with George, our new lab technician. The plane stayed overnight and today left with Jessica and Daniel (who had been here for two months) Caleb (our clinical officer taking his month long break after being here for three months), Jane (our cook who had been here for six months), Paul and Elaine (who had been here for three weeks) and Suzy and the kids (going on a break). With everyone leaving and goodbyes to be said, it really felt like the summer had come to an end. The prayer/worship time was very special. I really felt the Lord's presence here and appreciated the community He has formed at In Deed and Truth Ministries. He brings all kinds of people here, from all over and I know everyone is here for a reason. It's hard to say bye to new friends, but I was blessed with the time I had with them.

  4. No. I think God knows I couldn't handle that again! When I flew in, Mercy came with me. She is Jane's cousin. Jane trained her for the last three weeks and she is doing great! She will be here for six months.
