Update From Tonj

Things in Tonj have been very busy. Having teams is great, but it can be hectic as well. The clinic has been seeing 130-140 patients everyday. That is much higher than normal. Mondays and Fridays might be like that, but usually Tuesday through Thursdays are slower. That has not been the case lately. I asked Suzy what was causing the increase and she said probably the good weather and the increased number of white people in the clinic! That does tend to attract attention. Whatever the reason, I'm glad people are coming for help.

On Thursdays the team has been going to a village called Maloney where they have been doing a medical outreach. This village is remote and doesn't have easy access to medical care.

Right now, we have two volunteers from Germany with us for a brief time. They are helping with the new clinic building and have been very helpful. They work with MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) and are here to bless us with help for a few weeks.

Tyler, who does the website for In Deed and Truth, is in Tonj now. He and Suzy have been working on a new website and recently launched it. Check it out at www.indeedandtruth.org.

In addition to the work on the compound the team has helped with World Cup Outreaches and Jesus Film Outreaches. It has been a busy but fruitful time for the team. Continue to pray for Sabet and Suzy as they lead the team while still dealing with their routine work and family time.

  1. Kudos to Tyler for a great new website. Being home after surgery, God has given me the gift of rest, and what a blessed way to spend the afternoon yesterday on your new website; I checked out every single thing on there, listened to the testimonies, prayed, laughed, cried, and was inspired by all the people God orchestrates to do His work. Can't wait to come back to Tonj! Amen! Kristi
