Making Bricks

Work has resumed on our new clinic building. Currently the construction team is working on the bricks needed for the walls. I didn't know how much work went into making a brick here in Sudan. Too bad we can't just buy them ready to go at Home Depot. Abraham is a pastor from Uganda and is training our workers on how to use our new brick machine. They have quite a job ahead of them. We need 12000 bricks to make our clinic walls. Here is the brick making process:

1. Dig up sand

2. Sift the sand

3. Mix the sand with cement

4. Pour the mixture into the machine

5. Up pops a brick

6. Stack the bricks where they will be watered twice a day

  1. Thank you Stacie for the post. So appreciated. I just wanted to say to you that when I was on the mission field last year I had physical issues too, and Romans 8:28 really ministered to me. I didn't understand how being unwell was for my good, but I did get to see Gods power and I did endure...in Romans it talks about endurance and patience growing so that He can build our character. Keep it up girl!
