Sunday

Sunday we had church on the compound again. Tim and Alicia led worship and then Tim gave the message. Afterward, we just hung out with the people who come for church. It was nice to get to know them. There are people from Sudan, Kenya and Uganda there.

After lunch, I played "Settlers" with Sheena, Amy, Tiffany and Suzy. It was really complicated at first, but then was fun once we understood it. I lost both times.

Around 5:00 we went to our last village as a team. This was a lively bunch. The village chief came loudly singing and hugged as all. It was really funny. We did our usual songs, handed out toys and Alicia gave her testimony. It was really good. As it got dark, we handed out glow stick bracelets. They loved them. Once it got dark (there are no lights) all you could see was the bracelets. Here are a couple pictures....

  1. So Matt talked about you on Sunday... OK he prayed for you and the team but that's kind of the same thing right-lol. I hope your feeling better I wish I could sent you a Woopie Cushion to sit on for those long rides, I guess your butt muscles are working over time right now :o) We had Luke Everett from Rancho Sordo Mudo School for the Deaf in Mexico speak last Sunday and he spoke about Stepping Out In Faith and he started with a verse in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." right away I thought of you. I had a vision of you sitting in front of a crowd of people and the Lord sitting right beside you with a huge grin on his face... hang on I might cry, ok I'm back. He is so pleased with your faith in him Stacie that he has given you an opportunity to do great things through him. Your year there is going to be amazing and life changing. I think it might change my life too. Tyler and I love you very much. We are here supporting you with our prayers.
Keep us updated I love the pictures.

PS: Tyler was a cowboy for Halloween.
